As people of color, it's sometimes hard to find a table with others that look like you. Most of the time, we have to create that space ourselves; but, even then, there are still challenges. In this panel, we will discuss being people of color within the TTRPG community, including our introduction to TTRPGs, how we adapt them to our worldviews through character creation and gameplay, and what we've done to make room at the table for ourselves.
Lonzogonzo (he/him): Broadcasting on all frequencies! This is Lonzogonzo, a Latine full-time husband, full-time father of 2, full-time IT Professional and part-time variety streamer and professional TTRPG player. Part of Team Breadbox, founder of Somos Familia and Team Admin at Café Cultivar. You can find me playing playing all types of games on my Twitch channel and see me play various TTRPGs over at at my sister station RollingDeez20s, an all BIPOC group of table top players.
Pher (she/her), known across the internet as pherbear, is an up-and-coming TTRPG performer and a cast member on Rolling Deez 20s (twitch.tv/rollingdeez20s) where she plays Keturah Baptiste in their Vampire: The Masquerade game, Philly By Night (Saturdays, 7 PM MST). She is an advocate for and passionate about diversity in games and at the table.
Raven (they/she): I'm Raven, a chaotic good activist, content creator and partner on Twitch. I am a TTRPG enthusiast, a lover of all things macabre and and advocate for equality in gaming spaces and beyond.
DeAngelo Murillo (he/him) is a game designer, writer, and storyteller based in Phoenix, Arizona who is always trying to make the world a more inclusive place through various geeky events and projects.
Princex Calamity (she/they) is a content creator, game developer, and writer with a passion for bringing diversity and inclusion to games and gaming. She is a former theatre kid who has recently brought their longtime love for storytelling to TTRPG performance and writing. In everything they do, Calamity aims to inspire creativity in marginalized communities.
