Midnight. Seven anxious people sit in a circle, holding hands. In the middle, a mask. They’re anxious because they know that some of them may not see the light of day in the morning. But they are also determined, because they have vowed to walk among the dead, seeking out their departed – conversing with the ghosts that arrive, hungry for their breath of life.
They have all come hoping to let go, after a final encounter with their deceased. The mask holds them all suspended between life and death. None can leave the room until they all have tempted fate and the ghosts by donning the mask and venturing forth on the journey – to find the one ghost tied to them among the many that will come.
You are one of the seven. Will you find your ghost? Will they grant you closure, forgiveness, a secret? Or will they howl with disdain and haunt you forever? Will you return from the underworld and live to tell about it? Or will the ghosts take your last breath for payment, your soul lost among the dead, your body slouching lifelessly to the ground?
