Late February, 1986. One month after the Space Shuttle Challenger Disaster, but still two months away from the Chernobyl Nuclear Disaster in the Soviet Union. Halley’s Comet will reach its closest point to the Earth and your science teacher tells your class that the only way to really see the comet is to get away from the light pollution, perhaps up in the hills. But there’s still snow up in the hills…
Wonderland Hills, a suburb of Boulder, Colorado where a park, nature trail, and beautiful lake sit at the base of hills that peak at over 6,000 feet and become near impenetrable during the winter months. On the other side is a top secret government facility. Sometimes you can hear strange noises and lights coming from the facility.
You attend Shining Mountain Waldorf, an all-ages school that encourages expression and creativity. Where bright, unruly kids take classes that teach both empathy and science.
Tales from the Loop combines elements from Stranger Things, The Goonies, and E.T., where you’ll play preteens/teens solving mysteries connected to the Loop. What’s the Loop?
