You might have been human.
Perhaps you were bitten. Maybe Mom had a fling with a Dragon. It could be that you were born from an egg that sat under a rooster for ten days during the dark of the moon, but that one’s a little bit less likely. Whatever your origin, you have experienced ekduo, and now you are more than you thought you were… and Hellsing House, the “Halfway House for Monsters” is here to help. Just don’t run afoul of the Ministry, helping to keep you and others safe and secure by any means necessary.
Players will be playtesting a scenario (“Step Four, PROPHET!”) and rules for “Hellsing House,” a powered-by-Fate setting. Players will get a booklet at the table with playtesting questions, and the text for the main game, sans about 140 or so footnotes that only amuse the author.
Group therapy at Hellsing House is never the same twice. Yeah, Vebastian the incubus is having boundary issues, and your leyak roommate occasionally comes to talk about the struggles of finding entrails, and the soucouyant’s sister has had it up to here with her sibling’s nonsense, but this is the first time you’ve had a diviner suddenly spit out something so concerning. You know steps one, two, and four, of course, but whatever happened to three?
Players play (generally humanoid) monsters who are adjusting from the events of their “change” into modern life. No vamps, possibly no fey. References to trauma and therapy are likely. GM is not a Fate system expert, but has great enthusiasm for creatures, kaiju, and modern mythological constructions. Scenarios tend to run more grim than whimsical, but bring an open mind, and your energy, and we’ll see what happens!
